The historic Austin City Limits'’ television series was founded on the principles of musical and cultural diversity and initially focused on Texas singer/songwriters, country and folk performers. The Austin City Limits television series was the inspiration (and later the impetus for the expanded commercial collaboration) that led to the success of the first music festival. In July 2020 the festival was called off due to the COVID-19 crisis. Artists who have played at the festival include Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Arctic Monkeys, Guns N' Roses, Tame Impala, Robyn, Arcade Fire, Muse, Vampire Weekend, The Flaming Lips, Radiohead, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Austin native Gary Clark Jr., and many more. On August 16, 2012, Austin City Council members voted unanimously to allow the Austin City Limits Music Festival to expand to two consecutive weekends beginning in 2013. In addition to the music performances, there are food and drinks, an art market, a kids area for families, and other activities for attendees.įounded in 2002, the festival began as a one-weekend event and remained as such through the 2012 date.
Approximately 450,000 people attend the festival each year. The concerts continue from 10 AM to 10 PM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during the festival with various stages spread out in the park. The ACL Music Festival has eight stages where musical groups from genres including rock, indie, country, folk, electronic and hip hop perform for fans. Inspired by the KLRU/ PBS music series of the same name, the festival is produced by Austin-based company C3 Presents, which also produces Chicago's Lollapalooza. I thought it was going to be a problem for my knee, but the seat was high enough such that at no point was my knee bent more than 90 degrees. The Austin City Limits ( ACL) Music Festival is an annual music festival held in Zilker Park in Austin, Texas on two consecutive three-day weekends. I was to cycle for 10 minutes, resistance 1 and RPM at least 80. The physiotherapist measured, and my knee can now bend to 125 degrees, as compared to 105 degrees last week. You can find out more about week 4 physio exercises. Some of the exercises I now have to do together with weights. The exercises are mostly the same, but the intensity increases. Even though I still walk slowly and my leg still hurts when climbing the stairs, it’s progress as compared to the day before. In this picture I’m using as much muscles on both legs.Īlso for the first time, I’m noticing the swelling on the right leg above the knee getting smaller. My quads after acl surgery has definitely became smaller. It looks not as toned and somewhat smaller than the left leg. As you can see from the pic, the right leg (operated knee) looks different from the left. This picture is taken during my leg squads.
ACL WEEK 2 UPDATE
Just thought I’ll update with a picture of my quads. So it is key during this period to keep the exercises up) Day 16 ( Week 3) As the swelling goes down, my range will also naturally increase back to normal.
(**update – it’s actually normal and I just got to keep up with the exercises. I’ll ask my physiotherapist next week when I see her. Pretty worried because I still can’t stretch my leg fully to 0 degrees.
